Pukalani, which means “Heaven’s Door” in Hawaiian, provides luxurious air-conditioned comfort. Its lofty 100-foot above-the-beach position delivers stunning views of the Kauai Lagoons, the bay, and the Holuala Golf course below.

There is enough privacy for two couples or six guests in the 1350-square-foot condo, which has a gourmet kitchen, Wi-Fi, TVs, and a washer and dryer. The rental has a spacious living area with a sleeper sofa, a large lanai with ample seating, and two bedrooms, each with a king bed. One bathroom has a shower, while the other offers a tub and shower.

Staying at Pukalani includes free access to an outdoor pool, gym, and walking trails for refreshing strolls. Guests enjoy the Marriott’s activity center that supplies DVDs, books, games, bicycles, and water gear. In addition to the complex’s 2-level infinity pool with waterfalls, there is also a whirlpool spa/hot tub for guest use.

From this prime spot, you can easily enjoy all the sights of Kauai. Right in front of the condo, you’ll find the attractive Running Waters Beach. Kalapaki Beach and Nawiliwili Bay are within walking distance of under 20 minutes. The Nawiliwili Harbor and Kauai Museum are less than 10 minutes by car, in addition to several local restaurants and shops.

Pukalani’s does require a 3-night minimum. The Marriott provides free shuttle transport to and from the Lihue airport.
