Wailua River Lookout

The Wailua River Lookout (also Wailua River Overlook) offers panoramic views of the Wailua River Valley. The Wailua River is Kauai’s only navigable river for boats and Smith’s Family boats can often be seen from the lookout headed to the Fern Grotto. Look closer and you’ll see kayakers headed to Secret Falls as well. The Kamokila Village (an authentic Hawaiian village and tourist attraction) can be seen to the right of the river.

The lookout is across the street from Opaekaa Falls. Both are located on Kuamoo Road just before the two-mile marker. There is ample parking and restrooms at the falls.
