“Slow yourself down” is a popular island sentiment about the benefits and advantages of living life at a slower pace. On Kauai, former professional surfers Jesse Merle Jones and Aamion Goodwin began selling bumper stickers with the phrase and it soon evolved into a full merchandise line and physical store located behind their popular The Wishing Well shave ice location in Hanalei.
Their appropriately laid-back store features one hundred percent organic t-shirts (including unique organic tie dye shirts) along with a variety of sustainable products and accessories adorned with the slow yourself down slogan. It is a perfect fit along with their eco-friendly shave ice storefront.
Aptly, Slow Yourself Down is located near the entrance to the relaxed town of Hanalei. You will see The Wishing Well stand on your right, soon after crossing the one-lane Hanalei Bridge, itself a symbolic reminder to slow yourself down.
