Mermaids Cafe is a hole-in-the-wall sidewalk cafe in Kapaa, Kauai that has attained cult status thanks to its consistently fresh, healthy and delicious pan-Asian foods.
Mermaids offers a taste of the islands with homemade entrees, wraps, salads, sauces and beverages prepared with local fruit and vegetables. A favorite is the Ahi Nori Wrap with seared ahi, brown rice, cucumber, nori, wasabi cream and shoyu, rolled in a spinach wrap. Tacos are also popular at Mermaids, including the Kapa’a Tacos with shredded chicken, cabbage, jack cheese and creamy Aloha sauce and the Tropical Tacos with fresh ahi cooked in Mermaids’ special tropical choice. There are vegan and vegetarian choices as well. Open 9AM to 9PM serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parking in the back.
