Two male Hawaiian Monk Seals made an appearance at Poipu Beach on Saturday, January 7th, 2017. The endangered seals were getting some much-needed rest in the famous Poipu sun. A seal volunteer roped off the area to keep onlookers at bay. The Hawaiian Monk Seals, found mostly in the northwestern Hawaiian islands, are one of the most endangered species in the world, with fewer than one hundred on the island of Kauai.
